Unfortanatly I must also apologize for not posting the new pages as promised this week. I hope things will begin to be updated in a more timely manner from now on, but again I have been so busy with other things it has been difficult to keep up. My schedule however has finely calmed a bit, and I believe I will be able to devote more time to the website and league activities. Check next week for the new pages, and quicker updates. With our final week of regular season coming up, here is the playoff picture:
The Blue Chips will finish the season as the first place team as they are currently 9 and 0. If they can pull off another victory in week 10 against Scores, they will be the first team ever in CCFFL history to have 2 consecutive undefeated seasons. Win or lose nobody can mathmaticaly catch the Blue Chips, and their number 1 seeding will get them a round 1 bye for the playoffs. The Blue Chips will play the lowest remaining seed after round 1 of the playoffs in round 2.
The Feds and Scores are tied with 6 wins and 3 losses each. A playoff spot is locked for both teams, but seeding will be determined after their week 10 games. If both teams win, they will finish 2nd and 3rd, and the team with the most points scored in the season will take 2nd place and a round 1 bye into the playoffs. The 3rd place team will play the 6th seed in round 1 of the playoffs. If both teams lose, The Violators will sneak into the hunt for 2nd place, and the 3 way tie will come down to points to determine the final seeding. If The Feds win, and Scores loses, The Feds will take 2nd and Scores will take 3rd, with The Violators finishing 4th or 5th depending on X Factor. If Scores wins, and The Feds lose, Scores will take 2nd and The Feds will finish tied with The Violators for 3rd, points would then decide seeding.
Like the Blue Chips, Feds, Scores, and Violators - X Factor has also locked the playoffs, but their seeding wont be determined until after 2 games. If X Factor wins their game against the Demons, they will finish in either 4th or 5th place. With an X Factor win and Violator loss, X Factor will finish in 4th. With an X Factor win and Violator win, X Factor will finish in 5th. Either of those scenarios will lead to a playoff round 1 X Factor Vs. Violator match up. However if X Factor loses their game against the Demons, they will finish the 5th seed no matter what happens in the Violator game.
The true hunt for a playoff spot is between The Demons and The Thundercats. The Demons control their own fate as they will secure the 6th seed and final playoff spot with a win. However, the Thundercats will take the 6th seed if they win their game against the Cut Throats and the Demons lose to X Factor. If the Demons and Thundercats both lose their games, the spot will go to the Demons.
The Cut Throats even with a win cannot advance to the playoffs and are the only team that is mathmatically eliminated after week 9.
The Playoff Picture
Congratulations to The Blue Chips, The Feds, Scores, X Factor, The Violators and the Thundercats, Fall 2006 playoff teams. Thank you to the Demons and The Cut Throats for being part of the Fall 2006 season.
Finishing the season in 1st place with another great 10-0 season is the Blue Chips, the Blue Chips will take a round 1 bye in the playoffs and face the lowest remaining seed in round 2 of the playoffs to see who will advance to the Championship game. The Blue Chips will play on Sunday, December 3rd at 10:00 am. The Blue Chips now are officially the only team to have 2 consecutive undefeated seasons, and their winning streak is now up to 27 wins.
Also earning a round 1 bye is the Feds. The Feds finished the season in second place with a 7 and 3 record, and will face the highest remaining seed in round 2 of the playoffs on December 3rd at 11:30.
Scores finished the season in the third place spot with a 6 and 4 record. Scores will play in round 1 of the playoffs against the 6th seeded Thundercats at 11:30 on Saturday, December 2nd. If Scores is victorious, they will advance to round 2 on Sunday and face The Feds.
With a 5-4-1 record, X Factor takes the 4th place spot and will play the 5th place Violators in round 1 of the playoffs at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 2nd. If X Factor wins, they will advance to round 2 and play either the Feds or the Blue Chips.
The Violators finished the season in 5th place with a 5-5 record. The Violators will need to beat X Factor in round 1 of the playoffs to advance to round 2 and play either the Feds or the Blue Chips. The Violators play X Factor on December 2nd at 10:00 am.
After finishing 0-10 last season, the Thundercats will make their playoff debut finishing as the 6th seed with a Fall 2006 record of 3 and 7. The Thundercats will play Scores at 11:30 am on Saturday, December 2nd. If the Thundercats beat Scores, they will advance to round 2 of the playoffs and face the Blue Chips.

Blue Chips
Fall 2006 Champions
The Blue Chips met The Feds for the 16th CCFFL Championship Game, and it took 5 quarters to determine who the champs would be. If you showed up for the first half, you would have thought the Chips were going to go home easily with their 4th consecutive championship title. But after the half time break, the game belonged to the Feds and it looked as though the Blue Chips' winning streak was going to end. The Chips held a 24-0 lead at half-time, but the Feds racked up 24 of their own points in the second half and held the Blue Chips to 0. With the score tied at 24 all when the game clock expired, the Feds won the toss and took the first possession of overtime. It looked as though the game was over and the Feds were the winners when Javier Vega caught a pass and ran it in for the score on the Feds first possession, but the referee flag came out, and a holding call brought the touchdown back. With only seconds left in the overtime 1st quarter, Blue Chips quarterback Bryan Tilton ran 25 yards for the winning score and gave his team it's 4th consecutive Championship Title. It was clearly one of the most exciting games in league history, and taking a full 5 quarters to determine who the champs would be made it the longest as well.
Congratulations to Bryan Tilton, the CCFFL Fall 2006 Championship Game MVP!!!
Congratulations to Emil Lovec, Fall 2006 MVP
