Fall 2005
Fall 2005 Opening Day Highlights
Keeping with tradition, the Spring 2005 Championship Game Teams, The Blue Chips and Scores, opened up the season with a championship game rematch. Scores took their revenge on The Blue Chips after losing to them in last season's championship game, beating them on opening day 38-12. Scores quarterback, Jeff Day completed 64% of his passes for 253 yards and 5 touchdowns in the game. Day found his #1 go to guy Jacob Nordman 7 times for 108 yards and 3 of the team's touchdowns. Scores' receiver Jackson Montgomery scored 2 receiving touchdowns, and Deacon Spurlock scored the first TD in the game rushing the ball 16 yards in to the zone. Nordman took home the defensive player of the week honor for his performance at cornerback grabbing 2 tackles, 2 deflections, and an INT returned for 28 yards. Nordman was all over the field, but teammate's Eric Brown and Ed Zinda helped hold The Blue Chips offense to only 12 points. Brown had 4 tackles and 2 deflections, while Zinda had a tackle, 3 sacks, and an INT returned for 31 yards. Although Scores controlled the ball for most of the game, The Blue Chips had some highlights of their own. Blue Chip tight end Logan Lord caught 6 passes for 131 yards and a touchdown, and receiver Bryan Buckner caught 3 passes for 89 yards and the team's only other touchdown. Defensively Jason Hardin led his team with 4 tackles and 2 sacks. Noticeably absent for the Blue Chips were championship game MVP Leondre Lewis and Spring 2005 League defensive MVP Adam Pruitt. But Scores was playing with a short opening day roster as well having only 10 players in attendance to the Blue Chips 9. Despite the short rosters, Scores scored big and "the chips were down" for the champs.
The Feds met the Violators for game 2 with the Violators showing up with a whole new look and a whole lot of new faces. The Feds welcomed the rookies to the league sending them home with a 43-0 shut out. Feds' QB Shawn Hudson earned offensive player of the week and set a new league record for passing yards in a game completing 15 passes for 428 yards and 6 touchdowns. Feds' receiver Paul Harting who led the league in receiving last Spring, started out on the same pace for the Fall, catching 6 passes for 192 yards and 3 touchdowns. Receiver Emil Lovec also caught 3 touchdown passes and racked up 166 receiving yards. Leading the Feds' defense was new Fed, Nigel Cockayne. Cockayne had 4 tackles, and 2 INTs. Fed runningback/linebacker Jason Plaut wreaked havoc on the Violator offense posting 6 tackles (one for a safety), 1 sack, and he recovered a fumble. Even the youngest Fed, linebacker Shawn Hudson Jr. made his mark in the game grabbing 2 tackles and posting 1 deflection. Hudson Jr. who also acts as backup QB to his dad, put his first mark ever on the scoreboard completing a 2 point conversion pass to tight end Nigel Cockayne. The Feds welcomed back Jeremy Litka and Robert Ryan, Also joining the Feds were Jason Maffei and Anthony Teeter. Litka had 2 sacks in the game and a tackle, while Maffei had 2 tackles and a sack. Fed receiver and cornerback, Nate Nelson also was a force on both sides of the field receiving for 43 yards and defensively grabbing 5 tackles, and a sack. The Violators' defense was led by ref turned player, Ben Veader. Ben had 2 tackles, 3 sacks, and a deflection. Another new Violator, Marco Martinez had an impressive 6 tackles. Violator QB Rolando Arechiga made his debut completing 12 passes for 129 yards. Tight end Royal Tophia caught 4 passes for 34 yards and receiver Jairo Obregon was 3 for 33 yards.
X Factor and the Sex Panthers closed out opening day. The two teams were both comprised of mostly new players, but both teams had some returning players who used to play together. Lee Robertson headed up the X Factor who were formally known as The Scorpions, Robertson handed his former players now calling themselves the Sex Panthers an opening day 32-6 loss. X Factor safety Calvin Wright put the first 6 points on the board with a 38 yard touchdown ran back from an interception. Following Wright's 6, came 6 more from receiver Cornelious Johnson. Johnson rushed in a touchdown from 92 yards back on the first play of the X Factor's opening offensive drive. X Factor put 5 touchdowns on the board before the Sex Panthers were able to score their only 1. Factor QB Lee Robertson threw the next 3. Robertson completed 50% of his passes for 158 yards. Receiver Matt Daggett caught 2 Robertson TD passes and racked up 81 yards, and receiver Sean McNally scored 1 TD on a 32 yard pass. Turnovers were the beginning of the Sex Panthers demise with X Factor Calvin Wright causing 3 with INTS, and Nathon Vohland recovering 2 fumbles, Vohland also had 2 tackles. Ryan Messerli led the X Factor defense with 6 tackles and a sack. The Sex Panthers one score came late in the game from receiver Chris Whitcomb. Panther receiver Chris Asher led his team in receiving with 3 catches for 59 yards. The X Factor defense held The Sex Panther's rookie QB to only 118 yards and enabled him to complete only 36% of his passes. It was a rejuvenating victory for the Scorpions turned X Factor, and a heartbreaker for the newly formed Sex Panthers.
Fall 2005 Week 2 Highlights
The Violators and X Factor opened up week 2. The Violators came in following a week 1 shut out, while X Factor came to the field sporting an opening day win. But the tables turned on X Factor as the Violators dominated the majority of the game and went home with an 18-12 win. The Violators scored the games first 3 touchdowns, 2 on the ground and 1 in the air. Alex Martinez scored the first on a 9 yard pass from quarterback Rolando Archiga. Archiga also rushed in a touchdown, and the team's third score was rushed in by runningback, Marco Urbina. Sacks and turnovers were the X Factor's biggest problem as Ben Veader and Raul Barojas kept the pressure on X Factor's QB Lee Robertson all day posting 5 sacks between them. Robertson was also plagued by INTS as Violator CB Corde Armstrong caused 2, and Alfonso Baez got 1. Late in the game, X Factor made a strong comeback, but it was too little too late. Factor QB Robertson found receiver Matt Daggett for a 28 yard TD pass, followed by a touchdown ran in by X Factor's Brandon Silvia. The two quick scores put the game into reach for X Factor, but the Violators held tight and came out the victors.
The Feds met the Blue Chips in game 2 and it was a low scoring close match up until the end. At half time the score was tied at 6 all, but it was the Blue Chips who broke the tie in the second half of the game, putting up 6 more that the Feds could not answer. Feds' quarterback, Shawn Hudson found receiver Paul Harting open for a 21 yard TD pass to put the first points on the scoreboard. Blue Chips quarterback, Bryan Tilton answered that score with a rushed in TD of his own. Neither team was able to convert their extra point attempts. Defensively the Blue Chips were in Hudson's face all day long. The quarterback found himself sacked 11 times in the game. Jason Hardin and Ryan Marsh each posted 4 sacks, while Lonnie Hurdle, Adam Pruitt, and Anthony Bass each had 1. Abner Lopez caused the Feds even more trouble, leading the Blue Chip defense with 2 tackles, 3 deflections, and an INT. The Feds defense was led by Jeremy Litka and Paul Harting. Litka had 4 sacks and a deflection, while Harting posted 3 tackles, a deflection and an Interception. Despite the pressure by Litka, and the presence of Harting, Blue Chip's receiver Abner Lopez, and QB Tilton met up for the winning score on a 24 yard TD pass. The Feds had a final opportunity to answer, but could not, and the Blue Chips went home with their first win of the season beating the Feds 12-6.
Scores scored big in the final game of the day against the Sex Panthers. The four time league champs broke the Sex Panthers in sending them home with a 58-0 shut out to think about. It was all Scores all day as the seasoned vets held the rookie team to only 49 total offensive yards. Panthers' quarterback Justin Sortino threw 3 INTs in the game and step in QB Ronny Lewis threw 1. Claiming those turnovers for Scores were Jeff Day for 2 of them, Jack Montgomery for 1, and Nick Medina for another. Scores offense scored following each turnover, for that matter Scores offense scored on each of their possessions in the game except for the first. Scores Quarterback and Safety Jeff Day earned offensive and defensive player of the week. Offensively Day completed 75% of his passes for 283 yards and 4 touchdowns, he also rushed in a 20 yard touchdown. Defensively Day had 3 tackles, 2 deflections, and 2 picks in which he ran 1 back for his 6th credited TD in the game. Scores tight end Nick Medina, and receiver Jacob Nordman both had a great game as well. Medina scored 3 touchdowns and received for 139 yards, while Nordman racked up 142 receiving yards and a TD. Scores runningback Deacon Spurlock, and tight end Ed Zinda scored on a 57 yard pass from Spurlock to Zinda for another Scores touchdown, and Spurlock rushed in a 41 yard score. Scores completed all 8 of their conversion attempts in the game. Although the Sex Panther defense was not successful keeping Scores out of the end zone, cornerback Manny Magana did his best through out the game trying, he led his team with 4 tackles and 2 deflections.
Now that week 3 has come to a close, please remember that rosters are closed. You may not sign up any new players this season. Welcome back to the following players who joined us in week 3: Jose Iza, Eddie Wilson, and Jason Jones.
Fall 2005 Week 3 Game Highlights
The Blue Chips and the Sex Panthers opened up the week; the Blue Chips dominated the game and sent the Sex Panthers home with a second consecutive shut out. Blue Chip receiver Bryan Buckner earned offensive player of the week, while linebacker Logan Lord earned the defensive honor. Buckner scored 4 touchdowns and racked up 215 yards receiving. Lord tied the league record in a game for interceptions, nabbing 4 for 135 yards. Blue Chips QB Bryan Tilton also was a contender for player of the week scoring 8 touchdowns. Tilton passed for 296 yards and 7 touchdowns, and ran 3 times for 75 yards and a TD. The Blue Chips were unstoppable offensively. The powerful Blue Chip defense barely let the Sex Panthers move the ball. In addition to Lord's 4 picks, Adam Pruitt grabbed 10 tackles and a sack, and Ryan Marsh was all over grabbing 2 tackles, 2 sacks, a deflection, and a pick returned for a TD. The Blue Chips scored 9 TDS in the game, and 5 three point conversions, they beat the Sex Pathers 69-0.
The Feds met X Factor for game 2 of week 3. The Feds took the early lead scoring twice in the first half, and holding X Factor to 0. Feds runningback Jason Plaut put the first 6 on the board with an 18 yard TD run. Quarterback Shawn Hudson found receiver Emil Lovec in the air for the team's second score, followed by a 2 point conversion from Hudson to tight end Nigel Cockayne. Feds defensive end Jeremy Litka was instrumental in holding X Factor scoreless in the first half. Litka had 4 deflections. Litka was aided by safety Paul Harting. Harting had 3 tackles and an INT. X Factor came out strong in the second half, scoring quickly and bringing the game into reach. Factor cornerback, Ray Jerrano picked off Feds QB Hudson, and ran it back 58 yards for an X Factor score. But the X Factor offense couldn't get anything going after that, and the defensive score was all they wrote. The Feds scored their 3rd and final touchdown in the fourth quarter when Hudson found receiver Paul Harting open for a 29 yard TD pass. The X Factor avoided a shut out, but lost 22-6 to the Feds.
The closer would mimic the opener as another shut out capped off the day. This time, Scores met the Violators and the Violators met the same fate as the Sex Panthers, going home with a 42-0 shut out loss to Scores. Deacon Spurlock put the first 6 points on the board for Scores when he returned the opening kick off all the way into the zone. The Violators had their shot to answer the quick score, but linebacker Eric Brown saw to it that they didn't, Brown picked off Violator QB Ben Veader and returned possession to Scores. Scores QB Jeff Day was slow getting things going in the air, but he quickly reverted to the run, and ran 71 yards into the endzone for another 6. Day then found Spurlock for the team's third score in the air, and Scores headed into the half with a comfortable 22 point lead. The second half was much the same as the first, despite efforts by Violator corners Jairo Obregon and Corde Armstorng. Obregon and Armstrong both picked off QB Day once, but the turnovers weren't enough. Day threw 3 more touchdowns in the second half finding tight end Ed Zinda for 2, and Spurlock for another. The Violator offense was playing musical quarterbacks, and none of the QB's could avoid the wrath of Eric Brown and Jack Montgomery. Brown grabbed 7 tackles and had 2 picks in the game, while Montgomery had 5 tackles and a deflection. Scores remaines undefeated following their shut out victory over the Violators.
WEEK 4 HIGHLIGHTS
Opening up week 4 were the Violators and the Sex Panthers. Although the Sex Panthers managed to avoid a third consecutive shut out by putting 6 points on the board, they weren't able to avoid a fourth consecutive loss. The Violators started the game with quarterback Ben Veader. Veader completed a 36 yard TD pass to Alex Martinez to put the first 6 on the board for the Violators. The second Violator score came from a 55 yard TD bomb from Veader to Erick Barojas. Although turnovers were abundant in the game, the Violators managed to overcome them. Sex Panther's cornerback Chris Samples caused 3 turnovers by intercepting 3 passes. But Samples efforts were for not as his offense could not hold on to the ball and avoid turnovers of their own. Violator corner Marco Martinez caused 2 INTs and Claudio Martinez caused 1. Violators Raul Barojas and Ricardo Gutierrez also caused turnovers, each of them recovered a fumble. Violator Jairo Obregon took over the quarterback spot for Veader in the second quarter of the game. Obregon completed 6 of 7 passes for 193 yards and 4 touchdowns in the game. Obregon found receiver Marco Martinez for 5 of those passes. Martinez earned offensive player of the week for his 4 touchdowns and 207 yards. Sex Panther tight end Jeff Baker breathed a little life into the Sex Panthers with a 3rd quarter touchdown run. But it wasn't enough, the Violators beat the Sex Panthers 47-0.
The Blue Chips met X Factor for game 2 and it looked like it might be a close one. At half time the score was only 6-0 Blue Chips. But the second half was all Blue Chips, and they ended up beating X Factor 30-6. There were some controversial moments in the game causing X Factor a little heartache starting with the Blue Chips first score. Quarterback Bryan Tilton found receiver Bryan Buckner on a 41 yard touchdown. X Factor cornerback Calvin Wright was all over Buckner and for an instance it appeared that Wright had picked off the pass, but Buckner came up with the ball in the endzone and it gave the chips the 6-0 half time lead. After the half Tilton scored 4 more touchdowns finding Buckner again in the air for one, and throwing a 68 yard touchdown bomb to Logan Lord for another. Tilton ran in 2 touchdowns as well. Defensively the Blue Chips kept X Factor out of the endzone causing 4 picks. 2 by Lord, 1 by Tilton, and 1 by defensive end Joe Eckman. Blue Chip corner Adam Pruitt also had a great game with 7 tackles and 1 sack. X Factor quarterback Lee Robertson was able to put his team on the scoreboard finding Matt Daggett open for a 73 yard touchdown late in the game. Blue Chip quarterback Bryan Tilton finished the game completing 13 of 24 passes for 256 yards and 5 TDS.
Long time rivals The Feds and Scores capped off the day. Like the game before, at half time it looked like it was going to be a close game as the two teams went into the break tied 6-6. But Scores took home the prize as the second half went to them, they held the Feds scoreless and put up 3 scores of their own. Feds quarterback Shawn Hudson put the first 6 on the board finding receiver Emil Lovec for the score. But that would be the Feds only score as Scores defense was led by defensive player of the week Nick Medina who had 5 tackles, 1 deflection, and an INT. Seth Hernandez was also instrumental in holding the Feds with 4 sacks on Hudson. Scores quarterback Jeff Day found his #1 receiver Jacob Nordman for his teams first 6. After the half, the third quarter saw the teams still tied 6-6 at the end, but the fourth quarter came and Scores came alive, scoring 3 times in the quarter. Day found tight end Eric Brown for the first, ran in a second, and revisited Nordman for the third. Scores remains undefeated after beating the Feds 24-6.

Scores QB Jeff Day earned offensive player of the week completing 7 passes for 219 yards and 4 touchdowns. Day completed an 80 yard touchdown pass to Jacob Nordman. Defensively Scores caused Blue Chip QB Bryan Tilton to throw 3 INT's in the game. Nordman, Nick Medina, and Jack Montgomery each took credit for a turnover. Scores DE, Ed Zinda also had a great game grabbing 3 tackles, 3 sacks and 1 deflection. The Blue Chips put up a good fight against the undefeated Scores teams and despite some controversial calls from the refs that seemed to take the championship team out of their game, they had some of their own highlights to boast about. Receiver Adam Pruitt caught 7 passes for 130 yards and a TD, while QB Tilton rushed in a 28 yard touchdown and passed for 230 yards.
The Feds shut out the Violators 24-0 in game 2. Feds QB Shawn Hudson finished the game with 282 passing yards and 3 TDS. Hudson visited all of his receivers for a TD. Gary Noah, Paul Harting and Emil Lovec each scored 6, Lovec racked up 128 yards in the game. Feds DE Rory Sullivan earned defensive player of the week having 5 tackles, 3 sacks, and 2 deflections. Both safeties, Paul Harting and Nigel Cockayne caused turnovers, each having caught an interception. The Violators played a great game defensively causing 2 turnovers with interceptions by Jairo Obregon and Marco Martinez. But offensively they were unable to move the ball successfully.
X Factor took home a much needed win after beating the Sex Panthers 18-0 in week 6. The victory came after QB Lee Robertson passed for 198 yards and 2 TDs. Robertson also rushed in a 28 yard touchdown. Receivers Ray Jerrano and Matt Daggett each caught a touchdown pass. Jerrano was 3 for 112 yards in the game, while Daggett went 4 for 49. Jerrano also was highly effective defensively with 6 tackles, a deflection, and an INT. X Factor corner Cornelious Johnson also caused a turnover with a pick and additionally had 2 tackles and a deflection. Manny Magana led the field for the Sex Panthers defense with 7 tackles and 2 deflections. Chris Samples and Matt Triplett each had an Interception turning possession back over to their team. But the Sex Panther offense could not find the scoreboard, despite the efforts of QB Jeff Baker who rushed for 73 yards, and found receiver Blake Stephens 4 times for 56 yards. The win was X Factor's 1st since week 1, giving them great incentive for the second half of the season.
WEEK 7 HIGHLIGHTS
Scores stays undefeated, The Feds beat the champs, and the Violators get a step closer to securing a playoff spot.
The Violators opened up week 7 with a 36-6 win over X Factor. It started out a close game, but the Violators kicked the game into another gear and scored 5 touchdowns and 3 conversions to X Factor's 1 TD. Former league referee Ben Veader stepped in to the QB position for the Violators, and threw for 4 touchdowns while racking up 233 passing yards. Veader hooked up with receiver/runningback, Alex Martinez for 2 touchdowns and 112 yards. Martinez also rushed in a touchdown and finished the day with 63 rushing yards. Rolando Arechiga led the Violator defense with a pick, 2 deflections, and 3 tackles. Although X Factor had a hard time containing the Violators, cornerback Ray Jerrano was all over the place grabbing 8 tackles, a deflection and an interception that he returned for 45 yards. Calvin Wright scored the only X Factor touchdown on a 59 yard pass from QB Lee Robertson.
It was a huge game for the Feds who were meeting the defending champ's The Blue Chips for the second time this season. In their first meeting, The Feds went home with a 12-6 loss, but this time they got to feel the thrill of victory. Like the last meeting of the two teams, this one was a close battle to the end with the final score reflecting the same thing as the last time they met, only one touchdown seperated the two teams again, but this time the Feds got the 18-13 win. Blue Chip QB Bryan Tilton put the first 6 on the board when he tossed the ball to Bryan Buckner and Buckner ran 90 yards for the score. But the Feds answered that with a score of their own from QB Shawn Hudson to receiver Nigel Cockayne. The two teams were tied 6-6 at the half. After the break the Blue Chips took the lead when Tilton found tight end Logan Lord open for a 27 yard TD. The Feds battled back, and scored again, this time Hudson hit receiver Gary Noah for the score, but the Blue Chips held the lead as the Feds could not convert the extra point. Feds QB Shawn Hudson would get another chance to take the lead towards the end of the fourth, and he did just that when he found receiver Paul Harting open for the winning score. Harting also caused the games only turnover with an Interception that would end the Blue Chips final drive.
Scores just keeps on scoring, and after 7 weeks they still remain undefeated after beating the Sex Panthers 50-6. Of the 7 Scores touchdowns scored in the game, QB Jeff Day was responsible for 6 of them. Day mixed it up amongst his receiver core throwing 2 TDs to Jacob Nordman, 2 to Deacon Spurlock, 1 to Eric Brown, and 1 to Dave Gutierrez. Deacon Spurlock also rushed in a TD. Day was not only highly instrumental offensively, he earned defensive player of the week for his performance at safety grabbing 2 tackles, a deflection and 2 INTS. Also wreaking havoc on the Sex Panthers were Scores defensive end Seth Hernandez, and linebacker Eric Brown. Hernandez had 3 tackles and 2 sacks, while Brown had 3 tackles and a sack. Although the Sex Panthers came into the game toting 6 losses and only 12 points scored in the season, they had some moments to be proud of to take home from this loss. Sex Panther cornerback Ronny Lewis did what only 2 others have done before this season, and picked off Day in the first quarter of the game. Although the Sex Panthers were unable to capitalize on Lewis's turnover, they did find the scoreboard in the third quarter when Quarterback Jeff Baker found receiver Brandon Dyer for a 61 yard score. Jeff Day finished the game throwing for 315 yards and 6 touchdowns. Scores receiver Jacob Nordman also finished with big numbers catching 8 passes for 160 yards.
Please note, there are NO games next Saturday, October 29th in lieu of the holiday weekend. Happy Nevada Day, and we will see you on November 5th.

Week 9 Headlines
I don't have time to write news this week, but if I did these would be the headlines along with a few highlights from week 9.
Ryan Marsh breaks long time standing CCFFL sack record!!!
Ryan Marsh #87 of the Blue Chips racked up 5 sacks in week 9 putting his total so far this season at 28. The former record held since 1999 belonged to Jeremy Litka with 25. Marsh now holds the record with 28, and has 1 more week of regular season to up it some more. Congratulations Ryan!!! The Blue Chips beat X Factor 51-6 in week 9.
The Violators clinch a playoff spot!!!
After finishing last season with a disappointing 0-10 record, The Violators and their revamped team clinched a playoff spot following week 9's win against the Sex Panthers. Congratulations to the Violators on their Fall 2005 playoff birth. The Violators faced the Sex Panthers in week 9, and the Sex Panthers gave them a pretty good fight, but the Violators came out the victors with a 24-12 win.
The Feds break Scores winning streak!!!
The Feds crushed Scores chance of being only the second team in CCFFL history to go undefeated in a season after week 9's game. The Feds beat the yet to be beaten Scores 24-6 and upped their record to 7 and 2, while scores dropped from 8 and 0 to 8 and a disappointing 1. Like Ryan Marsh of the Blue Chips who broke a league record this week, Feds QB Shawn Hudson also broke his own passing record finishing week 9 with 2,956 yards in the season. Scores receiver Jacob Nordman was missing for the game, and his teammates were without a doubt missing his hands.
Week 10 News
Congratulations to Scores for finishing in first place with a 9 and 1 record for the Fall 2005 season. Scores will face the 4th place Violators in the December 3rd playoffs.
The Feds who finished in second place with an 8 and 2 record will face The Blue Chips who finished in third place with a 7 and 3 record in the playoffs.
Scores, The Feds, and The Blue Chips all won their week 10 regular season ending games. Scores was disappointed when they showed up to no opponent as the X Factor did not show. Scores took an automatic victory to close the season. Although Scores was robbed "yet again" a week 10 game, they will get their stats during their playoff game. Don't be surprised if you see some Scores players creep up into your spot after the playoffs on the league leader board.
The Feds beat the winless Sex Panthers 54-0 in week 10, while the Blue Chips beat the Violators 33-8.
Congrats to Shawn Hudson of the Feds and Ryan Marsh of the Blue Chips. Both Hudson and Marsh broke league records this Fall. Hudson finished the season with a record breaking 3,388 passing yards. Marsh ended the season with a record breaking 32 sacks. Another Fall 2005 record was set by the Feds, from receivers Paul Harting and Emil Lovec. Both receivers caught for over 1,000 yards marking the first time a team has ended the season with 2, thousand yard receivers. Other records broken this season to mention were by Hudson and Lovec of the Feds as well. Hudson broke the attempts and completions in a season record with 285 attempts, and 181 completions. Lovec tied the most 100 yard games in a season record with 6. And a final record tied this season maybe not so cool to mention was by the Sex Panthers. The Sex Panthers tied the Bulldogs for most points allowed in a season with 472 points allowed.
Special thanks to all 4 playoff teams on a great season, and good luck to all of you in the playoffs on November 3rd. Thanks to our eliminated teams the Sex Panthers, and X Factor; we hope to see you both back in the Spring.

Both TDS came from fumble recoveries. Blue Chip Bryan Tilton earned Championship Game MVP stopping any chance Scores might have had with an interception.

Ryan tortured the CCFFL's quarterbacks this season. He broke the long time sack record of 25 with an incredible 32 sacks. |
Bryan led his team to a second consecutive championship victory against Scores. The quarterback displayed excellent clock management in the big game, and stopped any chance of a Scores comeback with a game sealing INT. |
So that's a wrap for the Fall 2005 season. Thank you to everybody for such a great, and mellow season. We look forward to seeing you all back in the Spring of 2006. Mark your calendars, Spring 2006 registration will begin February 1st, 2006. At this time, the season is scheduled to begin March 11, 2006, the captain's meeting is currently scheduled for February 18th, 2006. Keep an eye on the website, and watch your email for season information updates.
And finally, a very special thank you and fond farewell to Jennifer Smith, also known as the defensive stat girl. Although many of you only know her as the defensive stat girl, Jennifer was with us since day 1 of the league, and was an integral part of it's start. In addition to keeping stats, she worked diligently behind the scenes advertising, writing news stories, updating the website, and debating on hours of conflict throughout the past 7 years. Without her, this website would not exist as she was it's original creator, and our jobs would have been much more difficult. Jennifer has moved on, and will be terribly missed. We appreciate the hours that she unselfishly volunteered to help make our league what it is today. In 14 seasons which equals approximately 180 Saturdays and 800 games, she missed "maybe" 10 weeks total. Thank you Jennifer for your hard work and dedication, you cannot ever be replaced.
